Initiatives, training and support
St Edmund's Nursery School is the first Early Years Stronger Practice Hub for Yorkshire and The Humber, designated by the Department for Education.
Join our hub to access fully funded and evidence-based improvement programmes for your setting, and be signposted to support, advice and knowledge sharing networks.
Our groundbreaking engagement initiative inspires parents and carers through 50 play-based activities which are proven to improve health and education outcomes.
Launched in 2018, the resources are now funded by over 20 Commissioning Partners, reaching out to over half a million children nationally.
Foundation and BA (Hons) Degrees
Our BA (Hons) Top-Up and Foundation Degree in Early Childhood & Education (Integrated Working with Families and Children), in partnership with the Pen Green Research Base and the University of Hertfordshire, are designed for those who wish to combine Early Years study with other commitments. The training provides essential skills, building participants’ capacities for future careers and further study.
