50 Things to Do Programme Coordinator: North of England (Part Time 3 Days)

Short Description

The Programme Coordinator will be a key point of contact for the 50 Things to Do Programme in the North of England, increasing engagement, supporting agencies, delivering training, and overseeing community engagement. They will lead a team of engagement officers, currently Bradford only, coordinating the delivery of 50 Things to Do activities, across Yorkshire, to and for:

  • children 

  • families  

  • settings 

Annual Salary

SO1 Starting at SCP 23 - £20,019 for 3 days a week. £640 a week, £17.29 an hour.

 

Main Duties & Objectives 

The Programme Coordinator will be a key point of contact for the 50 Things to Do Programme in the North of England, increasing engagement, supporting agencies, delivering training, and overseeing community engagement. They will lead a team of engagement officers, currently Bradford only, coordinating the delivery of 50 Things to Do activities, across Yorkshire, to and for:

  • children 

  • families  

  • settings 

 

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the day to day running of the Bradford 50 Things to Do outreach team

  • Develop and maintain relationships with our northern local authority commissioning partners (West Yorkshire, Sheffield & Oldham) 

  • Develop and maintain relationships with family facing practitioners to support wider strategic programme development

  • Attend networking events to showcase the work of 50 Things to Do 

  • Deliver training sessions for a range of participants who are using 50 Things to Do in their work with young children, virtually and in person. 

  • Work with the Comms & Marketing team to develop online resources and training materials, and promote a variety of training across social media and on the website

  • Work with the impact and evaluation office to support the evaluation and reporting of the 50 Things to Do programme. 

General

  • To fully participate in company meetings and events as required 

  • To attend relevant training as and when required 

  • To positively represent Birth to 19 at events 

  • To contribute to the ongoing fundraising of the organisation as required 

  • Any other duties appropriate to the post and organisation

Person Specification 

This role would suit someone who has a demonstrable commitment to improving outcomes for children through playful learning opportunities. We anticipate the successful candidate will bring a wealth of knowledge and experience in how to connect meaningfully with both strategic leaders and frontline practitioners, to share complex ideas in ways that are engaging and relatable, and to utilise playful learning to promote positive early experiences that really make a difference to young children’s lives. We expect a high skill level in communicating and public speaking with adults, and a good understanding of the importance of Early Years. 

Given the scale of our organisation and the seniority of this role, we anticipate the post-holder will be someone already working at a managerial level who can inspire and drive this programme further.

Duration

6 months in the first instance, but with the potential of extending into a longer contract, subject to organisational needs and continued funding.
