About the role
As an Apprentice Teaching Assistant you'll provide learning and wellbeing support for pupils, recognising and responding to individual needs and helping every child to achieve. You'll build positive relationships with pupils, support access to learning and activities, and help create a purposeful, orderly and supportive environment - all while training towards a recognised teaching assistant qualification.
This is a hands-on role working closely with experienced staff. It involves engaging with pupils in regulated activity relevant to children.
What we're looking for
Essential
- GCSE English and Maths or equivalent (e.g. Adult Literacy / Numeracy at Level 1).
- Experience of working with children.
- Ability to relate well to children and adults, with excellent communication skills.
- Able to use IT and relevant software effectively.
- High commitment to safeguarding and to inclusion, diversity and equality.
- Resilient, flexible, hardworking and driven by values.
- Legally entitled to work in the UK.
Desirable
- An interest in the Trust's wider role in the community.
