Bradford Birth to 19 is a large, growing and successful Teaching School Alliance which works with over 100 schools in the Bradford area. We are committed to partnership work and collaboration between our partner schools – nursery, primary, special and secondary schools drawn from across the district. Working with such diverse partners – rural and inner city schools – is one of the keys to our success. We welcome new partners in the Bradford area and from across the country.

About us

St Edmund’s Nursery School was designated by the National College for Teaching and Leadership as a National Teaching School in April 2013. It is one of a close partnership of teaching schools in Bradford.

St Edmund’s became a School Centre for Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) in 2014 with a small cohort of trainees. In August 2018 we welcomed our fourth cohort of trainees.

In partnership with Bradford's best schools and most inspirational teachers, we support the development of Bradford’s future teachers in an entirely school-based and school-designed training programme.

St Edmund’s Nursery School has received recognition for the outstanding provision offered since 2006, being graded Outstanding by Ofsted as a nursery school, early years provider and children's centre.
