Anne-Marie Merifield was the Executive Headteacher of St Edmund’s Nursery School & Children’s Centre and Lilycroft Nursery School for children from birth to five. She has over 25 years’ experience working in a range of primary schools across all age groups and in leadership positions.

From 2003 she had been the Headteacher of St Edmund’s which has achieved three successive outstanding Ofsted inspections. The integrated Children’s Centre and childcare are both also rated as outstanding. Lilycroft Nursery School has recently secured an outstanding judgement for the fourth time.

St Edmund’s is the lead school for the Bradford Birth to 19 Teaching School Alliance and in September 2014 was also awarded SCITT status with 125 Primary and Early Years trainee teacher places. Anne-Marie is a National Leader of Education and St Edmund’s is a National Support School.

A successful 10 year career as a teacher in schools for 3 local authorities, led to a move into Initial Teacher Training. Katie has a further 10 years experience working and as a senior leader at, OFSTED outstanding, University based and other providers of ITT, supporting over 1000 trainees in their journey into the teaching profession. Katie says one of the most rewarding aspects of this role is to work with former trainees, now as successful teachers, as mentors of new trainees.

Having successfuly taught at Bingley Grammar School for the past 19 years, working across a variety of curriculum and pastoral based roles, most recently he has been Director of Faculty. He now currently leads the ITT provision at Bingley, for which he has now become a course leader for teacher training at Bradford Birth to 19 SCITT. Ben says, "Working in ITT is incredibly rewarding, not only watching the trainees grow into fantastic teachers but seeing the impact the trainees have on the young people of Bradford is amazing". He strongly believes that education plays a vital role in young people`s life chances, training great teachers is key to the success of young people in Bradford.

After starting her early career in play settings, Holly qualified to teach in 2010. She has spent the last 10 years working across all Primary age phases and specialises in Creative Arts. Holly is an SLE for Bradford Birth to 19 and has delivered training to teachers and trainees in schools across Bradford. Since joining our SCITT team last year, Holly has enjoyed supporting trainees and says it is always rewarding to see our trainees achieve their goals and start a new career.

With 20 year teaching experience ranging from a classroom teacher, Head of Faculty and in the past 8 years an Assistant Headteacher of a successful local academy, Vlad has contributed to the establishment of our secondary SCITT course for which she is now a course leader. Her main expertise is student progress, assessment of learning & teaching and professional development of staff.

Having successfully worked in a local Primary School for over 9 years, Abi joined Bradford Birth to 19 and took on the role of becoming an Administrative Lead / Officer for the SCITT and Teaching School, directly managing the Administration team.

After completing school, Muhammad decided to take the route of an Apprentice. Having successfully completed his level 2 & level 3 NVQ apprenticeship within an ofsted outstanding setting, St Edmund's NSCC, he took on the role of becoming an administrator for Bradford Birth to 19 SCITT & Teaching School.
